कभी यूँ भी होता

कभी यूँ भी होता है की कुछ नहीं होता
न मन में खयाल होते हैं और मन ख़ाली भी नहीं होता
तसव्वुर में एक चेहरा रहता है पर चेहरे पर नूर नहीं होता
रिश्तोंकी ज़ंजीरे बनती पिघलती हैं और दिल बेज़ार नहीं होता
नज़दीकियाँ दूरियां बनजाती हैं और एक कदम उठाना नहीं होता
फिर मन करता है कुछ करना है मगर कुछ भी तो नहीं होता
कभी यूँ भी होता है की कुछ नहीं होता - VV

Sometimes it so happens that nothing happens.
neither the mind is empty nor full of thoughts.
there's a face in the imagination and the gloom around it.
shackles of relationships grow stronger and sometimes melt.
closeness transcends in to distance and there aint a step to traverse
then the firmness of mind takes a beating and a curse
